About Journal CME Activities

Purpose

The purposes of the JBJS CME activities are:

To earn CME credit for the Journal CME activity you must carefully read the articles that are designated for CME credit, pass the post-activity examination and complete the activity evaluation. In order to pass the general examination, a score higher than 50% correct must be achieved. In order to pass the subspecialty examination, a score of at least 60% must be achieved. The online subspecialty CME activities repeat some questions that appear in the quarterly general CME activities. If you are participating in both activities and claiming CME credits, you must consider this duplication when determining the number of credits you claim for each activity.

The post-activity examinations may be taken for credit (payment is required) or for practice (at no charge).

The answers are not intended to be the only or best methods or procedures for the clinical situations that are discussed, but rather are intended to update trained physicians with new information that they can place in the appropriate context.
